A puzzle related to Minimal Hex reimplementing Gemstone II in a minimalistic way.

Minimal Octa is a deep-cut skeletal puzzle with an octagonal symmetry. It has the same geometry as Ben Streeters Gemstone II. All moves a jumbling turns. It is a minimalistic puzzle in the same vein as Minimal Twist, Minimal Jumble and Minimal 7x7x7. This implementation highlights this jumbling-only geometry. A related puzzle is Minimal Hex. The rainbow color scheme was suggested by Jared McComb.
At first, this puzzle seems to be a face turning octagonal dipyramid but its geometry does not closely follow that axis system. Instead the axis and cutting planes meet with angles that resemble the tetragonal trapezohedron.
