A 2x2x2 in the shape of an Escher Solid.
Just another shape variant of the 2x2x2 pocket-cube, attractive but a little disorienting at first.
The inventor adapted a QiYi 2x2x2 ball core to fit within the pieces of an old folding fidget toy similar to the 'Rubik's Magic Star'. The shape is a stellation of a rhombic dodecahedron, sometimes known as Escher's Solid.
Created as an exploration of simple homomorphic puzzles. The cuts through the long axis of the stellations keep this puzzle shape-preserving whereas cuts through the short axis would shape-shift, and unfortunately Dino cuts wouldn't rotate.
Edge length (other): 56 mm
Edge length (at the cuts): 28 mm
Weight: 75 grams
