A functional proportional looking 1x3x3.
This puzzle was invented by Katsuhiko Okamoto, and produced by Gentosha. It consists of 9 cubes arranged in a square, and each side of 3 cubes can be given a half turn. Halfway through a move the center cubie deforms slightly to allow the corner cubies to remain connected, and that is where its name comes from.
Although presented 2004 for the first time the community had to wait for the mass produced version until 2009. In the meantime this puzzle attended the design competition during IPP26 in 2006.
