Basically a corners-only megaminx in a very regular star shape.
A member of the Globall family.
The Globall family is a series of puzzle based on the same mechanism which is equivalent to the megaminx. The puzzle differ only by the pieces which represent the megaminx' corners. There are three different shapes for these pieces in the series.
Like in the variant "Flower" the edges of the Globall are hidden under the corner pieces. In this case the pieces resemble a tetrahedron.
The overall shape resembles a great stellated dodecahedron which is the 4th (and last) regular stellation of the dodecahedron and one of four Kepler-Poinsot polyhedrons. The shape is just similar to this solid. To become perfect sets of 5 faces had to be in the same plane. This would make the tips even longer so this compromise has been choosen.
