This is a 5x5x5, bandaged in a half symmetrical way. It is not the first puzzle that wants to adapt the concept of the AI cube to a 5x5x5. The predecessor are 5x5x5 Corner Block Cube and Chimera Shift. The first shares the symmetry with the AI Cube but leaves one layer per dimension unchanged. The second changes all layers but with a lesser degree of symmetry. It uses four blocks: One 3x3x3 and three 2x2x3.
The Chimera 5x5x5 implements the same symmetry as the Chimera Shift but with different blocks: One 2x2x2 and three 2x3x3.
