This is a hybrid, combinging edge turns with very shallow face turning of an octahedron.

After making the Outlander tetrahedron, the temptation to try the octahedral shape turned out to be unavoidable, it was too obvious. Plus it could generate a model with interesting jumbling possibilities, as with all edgeturning hexahedra.

Perhaps the closest cousin of this puzzle is the Curvy Copter Octahedron. See the seperate entry. Circles would have been added to that on each face to follow the drawing that serves as inspiration for this whole series.

Printed in PETG plastic
Diameter of the circles: 40 mm
Edge of the initial octahedron: 80mm
Weight: 323 grams
