The Carnation Octahedron is nothing but an octahedral member in the Carnation series, following the inventor's previous designs Carnation Cube and Carnation Tetrahedron. The puzzle was designed at about the same time as the tetrahedral version but printed later. It solves equivalent to the Coin Octahedron.
