Four colour sticker variant of the Six Spot Cube creates a cubic equivalent of the Ivox
A simple sticker variant of David Pitcher's Six Spot Cube.
By colouring a mass-produced six spot in the four colours of a Halpern-Meier or Pyraminx, the orientation of the corners is removed from the solution but orientation of the centres is added, making the complexity somewhere between the Six Spot and the Super Six Spot.
It is an ideal follow-on for casual puzzlers.
This puzzle is the cubic equivalent of the Ivox by Alan Ramirez, mass-produced as the 'Ivy Mastermorphix'. An alternative stickering scheme gives the Four Colour Super Six Spot Cube - see the separate entry for comparison.
Looking in the museum, the 4 colour scheme is similar to the four-colour Dino, Joseph Bencic's 'Ceithir' Skewb, variant 8 of the Sisyphus II 2x2x2, and the Soviet four colour cube 3x3x3.
