An "axised" Rex Cube which was presented before the original puzzle.
This puzzle can be best understood if considered as shape transformation of the Rex Cube. The Rex cube was designed by the same inventor. Astonishing about this is the fact that the Rex cube was presented two months later. This puzzle represents therefore the rare case were the first shape transformation was presented before the original puzzle itself.
The difference between the Praxis Cube and the Rex Cube is the orientation of the axis system. On the Praxis Cube the axis system is turned about 60° around one corner. This results in 2 differently looking possible movements.
In 2011 Traiphum Prungtaengkit created a pillowed version of this puzzle. See image 5.
