Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises for Transelektro. Transelektro Magyar Külkereskedelmi Vállalat (Transelektro Hungarian Foreign Trade Company) was founded in 1955.
Its task was to place products of the Hungarian electrical industry on the foreign market, to ensure the supply of raw materials to companies and to expand the product range of the domestic market by importing finished goods. In 1989, it was transformed into a regular company. Its last owner from 2006 onwards became Ganz-Transelektro Villamossági Rt. The liquidation of the company was in 2007.
The logo is shown on the blue face piece.
