Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises the company Metalimpex. Founded in 1949. Domestic and foreign distribution of steel and metal industry products. Merged into the Impex Group in 2013 (Budapest).
The logo is shown on the blue face piece.
It came in the english politoys package without Rubik's signature.
The year is unknown but 1983 is an upper bound.
