The creation closest to this puzzle is the Rhomdo Transformer from Oskar van Deventer, which would be the exact same concept but with the skewb turn shifted to the trapezorhombic dodecahedron shape. There is also the plus version (Rhomdo Transformer Unbandaged) of that puzzle, and the plus version but in the shape of a rhombic dodecahedron (Skewby FTRD plus), both made by Vladi Delimollov. This is the variant in shape of a cube. There is also an octahedral version made by Gregoire Pfennig, the ETO Skewb, but technically it would be a Curvy Copter 2.
