As the name suggests, the Flat Professor Pyraminx is the Professor Pyraminx reimplemented with flat sides. If the puzzle had been shaped like a regular tetrahedron, it would have been impossible to construct without flexible pieces, olzing, or some other clever mechanism. Instead, the inventor gave the puzzle chamfered edges, making the outer layers wider and adding enough room for a conventional mechanism.
It was intentionally presented on the last day of 2021 but depending on the timezone this failed.
The puzzle was printed in PETG plastic, and the stickers were cut by Jason Gavril.
