The Celtic Octahedronwas inspired by LinXiao Xu's "Aurora Octahedron". The inventor wanted to make a version with the deeper cut, being equivalent to "Face Turning Deltoidal Icositetrahedron" (original geometry), "Celtic Cube" or "Edge Turning Rhombic Dodecahedron". See the separate entries for all of them.
The inventor uses the pseudonym "El Cubitero".
