With respect to the shape this is a successor of the 3x3x3 Enpiramidado from the same inventor. This time colours on the pyramids are added.
This 3x3x3 has pyramid shaped opal stone pieces glued onto the cubies instead of stickers. It has a tartan label pattern resembling the Tetravex. Although when viewed from the right angle, it appears that the cube only has three colours, because the pyramid prevents the colour from showing on the opposite side. See image 1.
