In 2009 Oscar presented the Canny Uncube. See the separate entry. Eleven years later Aleh Hladzilin his higher order version resembling a 4x4x4 (see the separate entry) and a 5x5x5 (this entry).
The name is derived from the pattern in image 7.
Unlike the Uncanny Cube there is column of fully square pieces between the 5x5-faces.
