This puzzle is a collaboration between Joseph Bencic and PolyTwist. PolyTwist designed, printed and assembled the puzzle. This was their entry to the 2019 Puzzle Advent Calendar.

Basically, they took their Otter Cube (see the separate entry) mechanism and placed it inside a Tetrakis Tetrahedron. The otter cube has 8 pieces to solve. Here, 4 of the pieces have been split, so there are now 12 pieces to solve. The Otter cube has a simple cuboid solve, while this new one is something else entirely. The split pieces create a square-1 feel, but not exactly.
