This was one of five new puzzles that Tony Fisher unveiled at the Dutch Cube Day held in Leiden on Sunday October 6, 2002 although he made the first sample in 1999. The concept of this puzzle was conceived and suggested by Dieter Gebhardt after seeing the original octaminx.
The puzzles shape is a truncated octahedron which is an Archimedean solid.
