A cousin of the original Face Turning Rhombic Dodecahedron with the edge pieces split up which allows more jumbling.
This is a FTRD (face turning rhombic dodecahedron) where the edges have been split up, like the X pieces in the Curvy Copter Plus. It's equivalent to the Curvy Copter III Plus. This puzzle allows more flexibility than the original FTRD from Eitan Cher, but it still has blocking situations because when a large corner is in the place of a small corner, it doesn't allow turning some faces. On the other hand, when a group of 3 small triangles, a small corner and an edge, are placed in the place of a large corner, it can continue turning, thanks to the new cut in the edge piece.
The inventor uses the pseudonym "El Cubitero".
Edge length: 42 mm
Weight: 146 grams
In 2022 a mass produced version hit the market under the name "Standard DodeRhombus". See images 4-6.
It was presented together with a Crazy-variant.
It is sold with black and white bodies.
Size of the box: 90 x 90 x 90 mm
Weight: 313 grams
