In biology "chimera" is a term describing an individual animal that developed from 2 embryos fused together.
Half of this puzzle is a Megaminx and the other half is an icosahedral Kilominx. The cut dept is selected specifically to make one of the halves a Kilominx. This makes the contrast more striking. The two halves can fully mix with each other.
