Almost-a-Skewb looks a bit like a Skewb puzzle. However, where the rotation planes of a regular Skewb are four hexagons, for this puzzle they are three octagons and a hexagon. The puzzle has several stored cuts. It is a jumbling puzzle. It is also quasi-doctrinaire, as it can always be restored to its original shape in two moves at most.
It works like an enhanced version of the Rocket Twist. It has the same three turns and the same strange jumbling connections between them. The addition are the skewb-like moves that do not change the axis system.
