A face turning tetrakis hexahedron in the shape of a cube.
Collider Cube uses the geometry of the tetrakis hexahedron, fit into a cubic shape by using contour cut slices. This allows the slices to meet at the corners of the puzzle so that extra pieces are not created. It is probably the simplest manifestation of the tetrakis hexahedron geometry possible.
Collider Cube has 24 axes of rotation, each capable of stopping at four new places (in addition to the starting place). In two of the four new stops, only one adjacent move is available, and in the other two stops two other adjacent moves are possible. The stops with two moves are easy to find since the turning slice lines up with a corner of the puzzle.
Images 10-13 each show one sample of the piece types:
10: Core
11: T-piece
12: Edge
13: X-piece
Edge length: 57 mm
Weight: 137.4 grams
