By adding the ropes this puzzles achieves something the other siamese or fused cubes do not achieve. Usually the connected cubes can be solved independently from each other transforming a Fused Cube into a pair of bandaged cubes.
This new puzzle is different. Three of the four ropes connect pieces of the two cubes. As a result one can not apply algorithms on one cube without taking care of the state of the other cube.
This puzzles was seen during the International Puzzle Party 2018 in San Diego. It is unknown wheather it was produced earlier.
