A 5 segment cheese type puzzle with 3 layers
This puzzle was requested by Carl Hoff so the inventor built it for him.
When he played with the puzzle it felt a lot like a pentagonal prism version of a cuboid, that's why he called it a pentoid.
Basically it is the Hitchhiker's Cube (see the separate museum entry) with some of its hidden pieces reveled.
An interesting thing here is that the middle layer pieces can change orientation but it is not showing with this type of stickering.
The shape, size and wight are exactly the same as the 2 layer version.
Piece type signature: PV1mp[T5/][]
Diameter: 85 mm
Height: 65 mm
Weight: 205 grams
