A hexagonal sliding block puzzle with twelve pieces and two holes.
Like the Hexagonal "8" Puzzle, this hexagonal sliding block puzzle is made of several layers of offset acrylic pieces. Unlike that puzzle, in which the offset direction is toward one of the hexagon faces, this puzzle's offset direction is toward of one of the hexagon vertices; while the pieces do still remain moveable and fully retained within the frame, this offset direction doesn't provide the same level of sustained overlap between the pieces throughout a move, and in turn doesn't work as well.
This puzzle can be seen as having four rotatable rings of six pieces each ... or four rings that encompass the four central hexagonal positions; hexagonal moving hole puzzles dictate circular movement of the pieces. This puzzle's additional movement rings more than compensate for any complexity arising from having more pieces than the "8" and "10" versions... thus, it is the easiest to solve.
