For this variant the inventor combined Wall Cube and Slice cube. He twisted two layers of a 3x3x3, then remodelled it into cubic shape and reoriented the axis system inside the solid.
You could also explain it as a Fisher Cube with two layers turned by 45° and the puzzle subsequently remodelled back into a cube.
