A hybrid puzzle but not in the classical meaning of the word. It takes an awkward axis system and makes it more awkward.
Rhomdo Transformer is a hybrid of Erik Vergo's Rhomdo, the Face turning Rhombic Dodecahedron by Eithan Cher, and Tony Durham's Skewb. The puzzle has 16 axes, namely 4 Skewb axes at the core and another 12 axes of the Rhomdo. The interesting aspect of this puzzle is that the outer 12 axes do not have a fixed position. They move around, depending on the state of the inner Skewb. This puzzle jumbles. Its geometry is similar to Tom van der Zanden's Helicopter Skewb.
The skewb moves are enhanced in this puzzle because they allow it to get back into the shape of the rhombic dodecahedron.
