Quintamese Cubes

Five 3x3x3s joined like Siamese cubes.

This is the next logical step after the Siamese Cubes and the Triamese Cubes. Please note that a Quadromese Cube (three cubes joined with a central one) does not make sense because it behaves like the Quintamese Cube. The central cube is one of the "Halfturn subgroup bandaged Cubes", see the appropriate entry of the museum.
The images show a sample rebuilt later by a member of the forum. This puzzle was shown in "The book of ingenious and diabolical puzzles" from 1994.
