A grydlock is a crazy lock with 10 bolts. Each bolt has 2 significant positions: closed (green) and open (red). The object of the puzzle is to slide all 10 bolts to the open position. A bolt may sometimes be blocked by one or more of the intersecting bolts. It could take hundreds of moves to unlock a grydlock.

I like to think of grydlock as equivalent to a maze on a 10 dimensional hypercube. Each configuration of the puzzle corresponds to a corner of the hypercube. When you move a bolt, it is like traversing an edge of the hypercube. Some edges are like corridors you can pass through. Other edges are solid and you can't pass.
