This puzzle is one of Douglas Engels patented creations made in low quantities. There are many puzzle with two intersecting circles (like Rashkey) and a fourfold symmetry. New in this puzzle are the four small gears inside the bigger pieces. One of them is turned when it touches the big circle currently in move.

Farmlad Gear came in four different versions which were all privately produced in small quantity. The differences come through the configuration an size of the small gears. The first images show the variant "Plow Deep". The other images have the names of the variants in their captions.
