A big chunk of a gigaminx was removed for this puzzle and the remaining puzzle was left open. This variant stay in the tradition of the inventors Open Bandaged 7x7x7.
All the parts around the opening are glued together to prevent the puzzle falling apart. This means they can not be mixed up and only three sides of two layers can move. This does however allow enough mixable pieces to make the puzzle interesting.
