A 4x4x4 restickered with 3 colours and 32 stickers each to achieve the smallest possible number of permutations.
This is a rather abstract sticker variant of the 4x4x4. It was born from the question: "If I use the stickers of a standard 4x4x4 and rearrange them how low can I reach with the number of permutations?" The creator made a whole series out of it with 4x4x4s using 3, 4, 6 and 8 colours and equally distributed amounts of stickers.
In this specific case stickers in 3 colours with 32 stickers each were distributed around the cube to make the number of permutations minimal. This variant has 729 permutations.
