This is a shape transformationmade with the help of shapeways. Small extensions were designed, printed and glued onto the 4x4x4. The resulting shape is the namegiving Tetrakis Hexahedron, a catalan solid with 24 faces.
The midturn-image shown here demonstrates an interesting property: The six new tips have the exact height that after a central 45�-turn the solid is again truly convex.
