This must have been inspired by the Rubiks USB-stick which looks like a 1x1x3. The creator extended this thinking and created an USB hub which looks like a scrambled 3x3x3. In fact the stickering scheme represents a true scrambled 3x3x3 which could be solved if the cube was still functional.
