A Pyraminx truncated into the shape of an icosahedron.

After Jürgen Brandt discovered puzzle building one puzzle he used as raw material quite often was the Pyraminx. Maybe the most complicated result of several truncations is this puzzle in shape of an icosahedron.
The puzzle was known only as "Icosahedron from Pyraminx" until Mike Grimsley in 2006 rebuilt the puzzle and gave it the name Pyricosaminx. From this rebuilt sample the images shown here were taken.
Since the group of tetrahedral symmetries is a subgroup of the icosahedral symmetries the puzzle does not change its shape while scrambled.
The year given above is an upper bound since that is the year the article showing this variant first was shown to the community.
