A 4x4x4 bandaged with two handlebars.

Bandaging is an effective way to make a twisty puzzle (much) more difficult. A classic example of a bandaged puzzle is Mefferts' Bicube. Whereas conventional bandaging connects adjacent pieces, this puzzle has pieces at different sides of a square connected by big pipes. The two pipes have different sizes to stop them blocking each other. Since both pipes do not connect pieces not on the same plane each pipe represents a block of 4 (not only 2) pieces.
