A hybrid of a Square-1 and a 2x2x2.
This puzzle was made from a 2x2x2 which received a new shape and was afterwards transformed into a Square-1. A different explanation would be: The middle layer of a Square-1 was replaced by a 2x2x2. Image 2 shows the puzzle after some 2x2x2 turns were applied.
Combining the two axis systems creates a jumbling puzzle. I can change its shape radically.
It shall be mentioned that in May 2002 an idea like this was presented for the first time on this forum (by some named Isaac Kuo) but nobody dared to pick this idea up and it was subsequently forgotten.
