This is a modified Pyraminx. The only difference is the connection between the tips and the core. These trivial tips are therefore no longer trivial but stationary.
This change makes solving the puzzle indeed a bit easier. Some rookies in solving puzzles have problems on the normal pyraminx to determine which colours belongs to which face. On this puzzle this is obvious through the tips.
The name was inspired by Oskar van Deventer's Slice Kilominx.
