One can think of this puzzle as a Master Skewb with an additional set of cuts like those of the skewb. There are 3 cuts on all 4 axes of this puzzle. The inner cut goes through the puzzles center. The first sample of this puzzle was designed and presented by Andrew Cormier in 2009. It has a slightly pillowed shape. In 2011 Eric Vergo presented his own non-pillowed version which is available from shapeways. In 2018 a mass produced version hit the market. Links
