A puzzle which is based on the fourth dimensional symmetry (edge-transitivity) of the 4D polytope 24-cell (also known as Icositetrachoron).
The Colossus consists of different 3D projections of the 4D polytope 24-cell. It consists of eight octahedrons. There is one outside (yellow) octahedron and there is an inside (purple) octahedron. The six corners of the purple octahedron use the six other octahedrons (blue, red, white, black, brown, green) to connect with the six corners of the yellow octahedron.
The goal of the puzzle is to change the colour of the external octahedron by elongating and contracting the telescopic rods such that corners pass through the triangular faces.
In 2015 the inventor presented another version called Prometheus.
