This is a Gigaminx in tetrahedral shape, and since the name GigaReuleauxMinx was already taken and my puzzle have some differences in cut dept and the way the pieces are stickered, I took the name Ultramorphix, witch is a 5-layer cube turned into a tetrahedron, and Gigaminx, witch is a 5 layer dodecahedron, and combined them.
The puzzle works amazingly smooth and is very compact. It's the same size as the megaminx version I presented a while back.

What a beautiful puzzle! And much more ergonomic, I'd say, than the original gigareuleauxminx.

Thanks a lot guys! :)

BTW, I just realized that the face pattern on my puzzle is a mirror image of Matt's puzzle. How do you explain that? I find it very strange

I noticed the same thing when comparing my reuleauxminx to others a while back. I'm not sure what the best way to describe it is, but here's a quick drawing I made which I think sums it up nicely. It has something to do with the three-way symmetry, I think:

I spotted something stranger - only the hand modded versions of corenpuzzles and Nathan Wilson use the right pattern and all 3d printed versions use the left pattern.

Traiphum's handmodded one uses the left pattern, I think.

Interesting observation. If I had to guess, I'd say that most designers just happen to draw their tetrahedrons and dodecahedrons using similar techniques, and so get similar results. Hand-modders just sort of start sanding away at a corner, until they get something that looks like the pieces shaded green below. After that, they get to decide which orientation they want, and for some reason, most seem to choose the one on the right.

Edit: as proxy pointed out above, Traiphum uses the one on the left as well, so maybe it isn't fair to say that most hand-modders just happen use the one on the right. They'd actually be equally likely to go either way, I guess.

Seems like Traiphum was aware of this property and build both. My next UltraGigaMorphix build will be mirrored :)

A person who bought the puzzle took a picture next to a Traiphum RL minx. You can see they are almost the same size :)

Hello
That photo is of my puzzles.
I bought the UltraGigaMorphix!
I can confirm that Jiroscop's work is of excellent quality. The turning is really smooth and the stickers are put on perfectly. This puzzle in particular is well worth getting.
Here is a picture of my minx mod familiy:
Ryan Binters Gigahexaminx
Traiphum's Gigaminx Ball, RealeauxMinx, Megaminx Ball, Hexaminx.

Nice set!
I know what you need - Octahedral and Icosahedral versions :)
I made fast renders using Brandon's tool without putting much though, but they can be made much nicer
I also noticed I made the caps almost the same size as Traiphum caps as is the case with your Hexaminx and GigaHexaminx
