My thread subscriptions are not working. I've tried subscribing and unsubscribing to certain threads and they show up in my subscription list. I've also checked my e-mail address. But I do not get notified by e-mail when posts are made to the subscribed threads. This problem is new since the board was upgraded recently.

I'm guessing it's still a work in progress.

We still don't get Email notifications when we get PM's.

I have noticed the same problem: not receiving emails when new posts are made to topics I'm subscribed to. I don't understand the work-in-progress argument. I run my own forum using phpBB (like this forum), and this functionality comes out of the box. I don't even know whether it can be disabled, but it certainly functions properly by default. So why doesn't it work here?
