I must say, that purple color looks really nice for a cube.

A picture of my collection made it into a Lithuanian magazine in an article about toy collections.
The Lithuanian magazine Pravda is quite a bit different from the Soviet era official state newspaper Pravda. The Lithuanian magazine, as described by a Lithuanian puzzle collector I know is "targeted to young people, distributed freely, filled with advertisements. There are also a few articles, necessary to motivate people to pick it up from a stand"
My picture is on page 13. I took new pictures for them (I have more puzzles since the picture they used) but for deadline reasons or perhaps for lighting (the old photo was warmer) they went with the one from January last year.
If you want the December issue it is here:
http://www.pravda.lt/uploads/files/dir4 ... 1/10_0.php
Here's the pic for those not interested in a big download:
Why did a Lithuanian youth culture magazine choose my photo? My best guess is that they were searching Flickr for toy/puzzle photos for their article and it happens that "Litwin" means Lithuanian.

This is from a site called B3ta, which is basically a site where people use their Photoshop skills to make pictures for a particular challenge, many of which are satires of current affairs.
This week's challenge is Maps - Tube maps, road maps, world maps, globes - redesign a map to tell the truth. YOUR TRUTH.
That picture's caption is "Sat Nav in the Eighties would have been so much more FUN! "

The German TV channel ProSieben has the slogan "We love to entertain you". They have several commercials that come with that slogan, including one featuring a Rubik's Cube.
It shows singer/actor/tv show host Oli P. or Oliver Petszokat who comes to a bar where there sits a young lady that I don't know. The barkeeper throws a Rubik's Cube to him. He solves it really fast and without looking at it. Then he throws it to her, she's says "cool" and throws it back to the barkeeper. They start drinking their cocktail.
Here's the link to that video.

There is another short commercial before the one with the cube.

In the tv show Freaks and Geeks, in a deleted scene, they are playing with a rubik's cube (the show was set in 1980).

The Bush picture isn't real. I saw an article a few months back about someone who gets people that look like celebrities and take pictures of them in embarrassing situations. That was in the article
