Looks good. Why didn't you cut the corners right back to the edges?

Perhaps he wanted to maintain the aesthetic appearance of having evenly sized sides.

After finishing the Dodec and Star Prisms just a few days ago, I take my hat off to you on another wonderful creation. I too am looking into "Prisms" as wonderful posibilities for making puzzles. Keep up the good work my friend.

I did not cut the corners right back bacause at first I wanted to leave myself some lee-way for filing etc. But later I did notice that I made sides of even size + I really liked the look of it with these extra bits. Don't know why...

NICE.

Amongst my many (25 plus), ever growing sketches/ideas for further Square 1 transformations there was a Octagonal Prism. But this was a standard trimming of the corners - edge to edge. Your trimming with retaining a section of flat works excellent and gives the puzzle that extra appeal.
