Hi everyone.

I'm in the middle of building this thing out of three Cuboctahedrons:

Look at the little white triangle between the three large white hexagons. That's a truncated 3x3x3 cubie. I truncated one and ended up with a triangular hole because the plastic wasn't thick enough. Rather than go through the hassle of filling 8 cubies, I was wondering about another solution.

Has anyone ever truncated the corner cubie of a Deluxe Rubik's Cube? Looking at mine, the plastic is MUCH thicker, and I'm seriously thinking about truncating one of them to see if it's thick enough..

Another possiblity is filling the cubies with Milliput then sanding flat and stickering over the "seams". I should probably try this first.

But if anyone who has plastic molding chemicals around wants to swap 8 solidly filled official Rubik's Cube corner cubies for a run-of-the-mill, used-a-bunch tiled Deluxe Rubik's, please e-mail me. I'll take the easy road where possible.

Sandy
