I was gonna title this one: If you can't beat them, copy them. But the other works too. Just wanted to share this item with all you puzzlers. If you guys remember the Twiggy item that never sold on eBay (I actually lost with $600!!! I think I was in altered state that day lol). Anyway, I figured, if I really want this beautiful item, why not make it. So I did. Albeit its with the mini cubes, it still works for me. Lets see what you guys think.

Where did you get that many mini cubes? Going with yellow replacing the white of the big one was a cool idea. Looks better!

No wonder I haven't been seeing your famous auctions lately...hehe...been busy 24 hours building portraits outta cubies.
At a glance, it looks very similar to the bigger one & I guess this is a more manageable version too, in terms of space and portability....yep! I would vote for this version if I could choose.

Mainly because I could not trick my mosaic prog. into making a portrait of Paulina Porizkova lol. Since I had the pic of Twiggy, I went with it. And no, I did not glue them together, I pressure fit the frame around them, then glue the back board to the frame, nailed to the frame and put plexiglass on the front. I then cut small triangles of the plexiglass i had left over and drilled holes in them and nailed them at the corners to hold the plexiglass in place. I used 3/4" by 1 3/4" moldings so I needed to use these tiny nails and still managed to crack in one corner
It took me about a week to make, but elapsed time maybe 12hrs give or take an hour.
