There are some slow record over there in America.....you should talk to the organisers and get more events.

Ya. I know. I asked the organizer for the Captain's Cove competition if they could do a Clock event, but they probably won't end up doing it because of time constraints and so on.
The US records aren't all terrible, but a lot of the could use some work. The records that need the most work are 3x3x3 with feet (single), 2x2x2 (average), fewest moves, Pyraminx (both), Clock (both), and 3x3x3 multiple blindfold. On the flip side, every bad record that I can convince an organizer to let me try is a potential NR.
EDIT: And it's not like we have an excuse, since we have over 600 competitors and almost four times as many competitions as any other country. I think most USA speedsolvers just don't care that much about anything outside of cubes. (But I do.)

We have about 4 active cubers, and that's only this year.
Our Megaminx record is really good, and so is the FMC
I will soon be getting a sub10 for Clock (hopefully) and a 1.1x Magic time.
Thom is hitting sub60 with 4x4, Harris is at 2:00 for 5x5.
I am pushing close to sub15 with 3x3, which is making Dan practise more.
We aren't going too bad for just a small group.

Ha, sounds like the European community is a little more close than the American speedcubing community, and they have better comps too!
As for my accomplishments, I just lubed my white 3x3 (it really needed it, I've been lazy) and I got a sq-1 today. Those things are eeeevil!
I also get a 2:12 4x4 solve a few nights ago, that is always nice. I love PB's

Your welcome for the square-1, and yes, those things are satanicly hard.

Oh, I see. You're getting really good at K4! Maybe I should try it...
When you do the edges, do you solve one or two at a time?

Um, I solve the white and yellow centres,
directly solve single pieces for 1x3x4, then solve the rest of the centres.
finish the white layer.
Then direct solve a single F3L edge, and then solve the LL edges in pairs.

That sounds good. Thanks! I'll give it a try.
I just had a PLLskip on the 4x4x4... the time was EXACTLY 64 seconds. 64 is a very cool number.

I solved a 6x6 on a simulator (without looking up anything, of course) using 4x4 and 3x3 knowledge. Next on the agenda is the 7x7 (Which will be considerably harder for me, since I don't know the algorithms for the last two tredges on the 5x5)

Odd cubes are nice, just use some of your 4x4 algs and figure out how the pieces move around, that is how I did the 5x5, 7x7, and 10x10...
I have learned a lot of the square-1 lately, so I am very proud of myself.
Also, I took it apart, cleaned it, lubed it, put it back together without the spring, and viola! It is a sq-1 that no longer causes my fingers to ache when I turn it!
EDIT: HOLY CRAP! I was just doing a random warm up solve before the Monday contest and I got a LL skip! I just put in the last F2L pair and BOOM! It was just U2 to solve the LL... This was quite amazing for me!
Oh, and I also got a 23.20 average for the Monday Contest! Best I've ever done on it, I am feeling happy!

I have two personal records today: I got a 0.96 solve on Magic, which should be improved again in the next few days, and a nonlucky 27.08 OH solve.
Is it wrong that I find OH more interesting than a standard solve?

OH is more interesting, so there's absolutely nothing wrong with it!
I got my 5th non-lucky sub-17 today, once again LL was Sune + J-perm... I need to improve my avg.

Awesome. I've gotten a couple of sub-17s two-handed, but not very many. How far away from a sub-20 average OH are you?

My best average is 21.48 but usually it's around 24, I'm still very inconsistent. It will take me at least a few months to get sub-20, I think.

Almost my average Zac!
After 30 minutes of practise, I got a 22.75 average with cross on bottom, 18,75 fastest...
I don't like it!

Fridrich uses it, Leyan Lo does and so does Stefan Pochmann...
I picked it up from Fridrich's site though, and the other two kept me going with it.

Are you sure Leyan uses it? I saw him cube about a month ago (but not in a competition) and all the solves he did were with cross on bottom...

28.97! Finally! And to top it all off, after hovering around 30 for about 5 solves, a 17.39 PLL skip brought it under. That's my first sub-20, and about 5 seconds better than my previous lucky solve.

not to mention Marc van Beest, Lars Vandenbergh and Jimmy Coll. Btw Stefan was talking about going back to cross on the bottom cause its easier to do shortcuts then I think.

Has anyone ever done cross on right? That would be funny, it would be like contradicting a contradiction!
I figured out that I can use Jnet timer to find running averages! Once my stackmat gets here (Kyle had better of mailed it by now...) then I can takes times on it, write them down, and then input them manually into the timer, which will find averages and session averages! yay for Jnet, all I need to do now is get it working on my computer, as my computer seems to not run .jar files

Wow, sorry, I don't recall that though
The only problem is this computer (my mom's) doesn't run .jar files, so i can't use Jnet... Anyone know how to fix this problem?

never heard of it. Can you input times manually? This is the function that I need, and Jnet is the only timer I know that you can do that with.

CCt can input manually, but it is also a .jar
If you go to sun.com, there will be a java download for your type of PC. Download and install.

19.65
21.97
24.13
25.90
22.62
19.19
25.37
(19.06)
20.22
(26.07)
21.82
Final Average: 22.19! new PB average!!
I almost got sub 22, but I believe that the 25 and 26 shot down any chance of that! And 3 sub 20's is quite amazing!
Watch out Johannes, I am coming for you! I shall get sub 20 before you get sub 20 OH

If I get a good average (no timer malfunctions and I actually concentrate for the whole thing) it could be sub-20, but I don't care enough about the 3x3x3 this week to do a lot of averages...

I haven't really been bothering with cubing a whole lot this week, and then BOOM! I get a new average. This was one of those averages right before I go to bed when I am totally zoned out and just go fast. I got my first 26 average doing this, and now I get 22! I just wish I didn't get those 25 and 26 second times

Slowest Time: 28.20
Standard Deviation: 01.24
25.07, (20.35), 25.39, 24.84, (28.20), 25.95, 25.60, 24.88, 23.55, 25.40, 21.72, 24.78
That 20.35 was soo close to being my 2nd time sub20 non-lucky!
I wish I could times like this all the time! I still sometimes go above the 30s mark :(

Don't worry about going over 30, sometimes even I do it. Those are usually those solves where I mess up an already slow F2L, or don't get good reco/algs for the LL.
Nice average though! You need to start getting more sub 20 times

Anything above 26 or so, feels slow for me nowadays. Anything lower than 23 is fast!
