Someone mentioned the possibility of building up the UFO into a cute little junior version of the Masterball.

Also, the tetraminx is for sale at mefferts, no?

Post subject: The difference is what is considered the "solved"Posted: Sun Jun 16, 2002 11:04 am
The Wall cube (#10) is stickered in such a position that the sides of the puzzle look like a staggered brick wall when solved. When in solved position, you cannot turn a vertical layer without first turning the horizontal layers. On the 2x3x4 (#9) you can start with the solved position and turn a vertical slice. They are the same puzzle but stickered differently. If you took #10 and turned U'd' then you would have the puzzle in the state that is considered solved for #9 and vice versa.

The 2x2x2 mechanism can be built into almost any shape imaginable. Commercially there are more 2x2x2 puzzle heads (Star Wars, Looney Tunes, etc.) than I care to count.

Or add trivial corners to the Magic Jewel to make an Octahedron puzzle.
