It looks like you could make this sculpture for under
\$100.

I wonder how much this "piece of art" would be worth if,
instead of Rubik Cubes, it was made out of 15 Dogics !!!
You can "Buy I Now "for 15 000 \$ (for a piece of steel + 15 cubes.)
(the cubes are 600 \$ each, which is 60 times the average price of a Rubik's cube)
Now multiply 60 x 350\$ the average price of a Dogic on ebay, then by 15, voila 315 000 \$

How did they set the 15 000\$ price tag ?
Maybe they calculated that if 1 Rubik's cube is worth 10 \$, and since it"s a cube they multiplied it by 3
10 \$ x 10 \$ x 10 \$ = 1 000 \$ a cube, then they multiplied that amount by the numbers of cubes (15) = 15 000 \$ !!!

Actualy there is 25 cubes instead of 15 in this "Piece of Art" , so the "Dogic" version would cost: 525000 \$ !!!

I think the important thing to consider here is the worth of the "industrial ventilation grill". I'm no expert on industrial ventilation grills but I'm fairly sure I can tell a quality one when I see one.

Maybe the cubes really are worth just \$250 and the grill is worth \$14 750. If this is true, it was a pretty good find. Imagine the number of dogics he could buy with the profits!

I would like to go, find his artwork, and solve all the cubes while noone is looking.

I bet he has used a strong epoxy to bind the cubes
to the framework.

Or the "cubes" are really hand carved blockes of solid wood with colored stickers that fool you into thinking
they are plastic Rubik's cubes. Just think of how much
time it took to carve each one, and to arrange the colors in just the right pattern.

At the very bottom it says free shipping + INSTALLATION BY ARTIST. Included in your price is air fare, hotel, food, entertainment, autograph of the artist, the list goes on. Maybe someone else should do something like this but use a different puzzle. A good way to pay for a vaction around the world.

GACK! It's pretty cute but not at that price. Maybe we could all pitch in for it.

That's not a bad display case though, eh?
