I'm curious, has anyone done this before:

-Scramble a solved cube with double spins only;
Then solve the cube with double spins only-

Yea its definately possible. I had the record for a little while, but it just got recently beaten by some other guy. My solve was just incredibly lucky. I don't really even have a method, i just turn it using common sense until i get to a familiar pattern. For that solve, i noticed the pattern right away. :D

I'm the one thats top on that list.

Half turns for scrambling (for me at least) usually ended up with a close to solved cube. Most of the time I just have H's or a snake eyes pattern, or a combination of both. They are usually relatively easy, sometimes theres a scramble that will take me almost as long as a regular cube (30 seconds or so) but most of the time its sub-10.

How about using B2 and F2 as well?

If you are talking about the "scramble" i posted on speedcubing.com to get to what I saw, that's not the actual scramble. It's not that many moves for one, and as you stated, there are no B2 or F2. I didn't use a scramble program, I just did double turns 25 times using all faces.

So the scramble listed is just the quick route to show you what I saw, and I posted the solution as a different set of turns only to show that there was an even simpler way of solving it.

Those solves just seem a little too easy that's all.

Another UWR that makes me wonder is this.

Did you realize that you should use a random scramble generated by a computer, or did you just make some "random" 25 turns? 6.23 is just very good, I haven't beaten it yet...

I agree, to read and perform 25moves in 6.23 does some a little fast.

Thanks for bringing that UWR to my attention, I have never actually attempted that, so whoever that is, it isnt me. I dont think there is anyone else with the name Garrett Dickerson, or at least one who does rubiks cubes and goes on that site... but it's either one of my friends being stupid, or actually another person named Garrett Dickerson.

Anyone know a way to remove records from that page? Do I just request it through e-mail???

[edit]

O.K. that record is off the page now. I'm going to wager it was one of my friends just playing around when I showed them the site at first.

I actually tried doing it, got around 10 seconds, but I don't see myself being able to get that 6.xx time, at least not in this lifetime.
